Welcome to Roosevelt International Middle School—an International Baccalaureate® (IB) public magnet school for grades 6-8—located next to the world-famous San Diego Zoo. Roosevelt is one of nearly 5000 prestigious IB schools worldwide that share the philosophy of educating students to be successful members of our ever-changing global society. Students receive a balanced, well-rounded education that challenges them to be active learners, to delve deeply into and across different subjects, and to make meaningful connections between what they learn in school and the world at large.

INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE® MISSION: The International Baccalaureate® Organization aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end, the IBO works with school, governments, and international
organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to work to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people with their differences can also be right.
