The Japanese Friendship Garden’s Cherry Blossom Festival in Balboa Park is a BIG opportunity for the RMS Community to raise much-needed funds for education enrichment programs for our Students and Staff. Please volunteer for the RooFriends Cherry Blossom Festival Parking Fundraiser this Saturday and Sunday (March 11 & 12, 11AM – 2PM). Just 12 volunteers could earn thousands of dollars. RooFriends goal is to raise at least $15,000 by June 2023! Thank You!!

- March 10: Grades will be available in PowerSchool. Progress Report Period 3 ended March 3.

Sports Updates
- Congratulations to our Boys and Girls Soccer teams on qualifying for the playoffs this upcoming Saturday, March 11! See you at the games!!
- Last day to sign up for flag football is THIS MONDAY March 6.
- NEW: Tennis at Roosevelt!
- Every Friday from April 7 – May 26, tennis lessons will be available for our students.
- The cost is $40, which can be waived if needed (please contact me).

San Diego High School IB Programme Development and Updates: March 8, 6:00 PM.

- Open to all parents, students, and community leaders who want to learn about how the IB Programme is continuing and developing at San Diego HS.
- 2023 IB assessment overview.
- New option for TOK/AVID.
- IB Diploma completion options: 1 year courses.

- English department adoption of Approaches to Teaching and Learning.
8th Grade Field Trip to San Diego HS: “Caver for a Day” Tour.

Important Survey Reminder
- Please complete this California School Parent Survey for Roosevelt to learn more about your opinions and perceptions about our school. We need more participation.
- Send me a screenshot of your submitted survey and I will enter you in a drawing for a gift card to a local restaurant! Those of you who completed the survey already can send me an email stating that is the case, and I will enter you into the drawing as well. Thank you!
Volunteers Needed!
- Volunteers needed to work one-on-one with English learners to provide extra support with reading and basic math. Monday, Thursdays, and Fridays in room 108, periods 5 and 6 (1:15-3:15). All help is welcome and will be very much appreciated.

AfterSchool Pick-Up Zone Volunteers Needed Monday – Friday.
- Please SignUp for Student Safety. We still need afterschool pick-up zone supervisors to continue providing safe pick-up for our students!
