Thank you to RooFriends and our wonderful volunteers who raised over $15,000 this weekend! These funds will continue to help us fund the RMS Librarian position (Ms. Hassan) and AfterSchool Enrichment (ASE) opportunities. Amazing job, everyone! RMS Calendar Reminders

SGT Meeting this Thursday 2/23 at 4 PM: Agenda and Zoom link.
Core Academy this Saturday 2/25, 8 AM – 12 PM. All Students are invited to attend.
Student Led Conferences will be held on campus on 3/1 and 3/2, 2-4 PM. More information will be sent home this week.

Wednesday, Feb 22: 6th Grade Music Field Trip to a Digital Music Ensemble Concert. Chaperones invited!

RMS Sports Update

Cheer on our RMS Soccer and Volleyball Teams THIS SATURDAY!!
SDUSD MS Spring Sports Flag Football registration deadline is March 6.

8th Grade Field Trip to Zoo on March 8th

As a reward for Semester 1, 8th Graders with promotion-eligible grades and citizenship are invited on a field trip to the San Diego Zoo on March 8th (next Late Start Wednesday, 9 AM – 3 PM).
We are looking for 4 more chaperones to join 8th Grade Teachers. If you are interested, please sign-up, submit the online SDUSD Volunteer / Chaperone application and email our IB Coordinator Ms. LaVelle at llavelle@sandi.net.
Permission slips for eligible students are due to Coach Courneya THIS WEDNESDAY, Feb 22!

AfterSchool Pick-Up Zone Volunteers Needed Monday – Friday.

Please SignUp for Student Safety. We need afterschool pick-up zone supervisors to continue providing safe pick-up for our students!

Title I Needs Assessment / California School Parent Survey Extended!

Please complete this Title I Needs Assessment by Thursday to provide input on how to spend our Title I Budget that will be released this week.
Please also complete this California School Parent Survey for Roosevelt to learn more about your opinions and perceptions about our school.

Roosevelt Summer Academic Program

Roosevelt is offering a summer academic program from 8am to 1pm from June 20 to July 21.
Students enrolled in the summer will remain in their current grade level.
You can sign up your child for our summer academic program by filling out this link or coming into the office and filling out a paper document.

Primetime Summer Program

All Roosevelt students attending our Summer Academic Program will be eligible to apply to participate in PrimeTime!
June 20 – July 21: 4.5 hours daily, 1:00 pm – 5:30 pm (after summer academic program)
July 24 – August 2: 9.5 hours daily, 8:00 am – 5:30 pm

Summer Level Up Enrichment Programs

Summer Level Up enrichment programs for all district students grades UTK-12 will be offered by our Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA), Office of College, Career and Technical Education (CCTE), and community partners.
Programs will run throughout June, July, and August 2023.
Level Up enrichment opportunities will include sports camps, STEAM- and arts-based experiences, leadership institutes, internships, and accelerated learning opportunities.
Enrollment and more information about these programs will be made available to families in late March.
Please be sure we have your accurate cell phone numbers in PowerSchool so you don’t miss out on registration!
