Each year, the Fleet Science Center encourages female and female identifying + students in 7th and 8th grade to apply for this FREE program.
When: Application is open from December 15, 2022 through February 12, 2023
Who: Female identifying + students, grades 7 and 8
Where: Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park next door to Roosevelt IB Middle School
What: Do you know a 7th or 8th grad who is interested in STEM and learning more about what career paths are available to women in STEM?
- Then encourage them to apply to be part of BE WiSE, a program that offers monthly FREE workshops to BE WiSE members.
- BE WiSE member workshops will introduce students to female STEM role models, to various careers and include tons of science fun.
- Once accepted into the program, students remain BE WiSE members until they graduate from high school. That means 5-6 years of free monthly workshops!
