Roosevelt MS Theatre Company (RTC) is celebrating their 8-Year Anniversary this Spring!
RTC has presented “Grease,” “Beach Boys & Valley Girls,” “Once Upon a Mattress,” “Schoolhouse Rock Live,” “High School Musical” and the FIRST EVER RTC Variety Show (December 2022). What’s next? You can help determine the show for the 2023 RTC Spring Musical!!
We are collecting input from RMS students, parents, teachers, staff, alumni and our community to help select the RTC Spring 2023 Musical. All are welcome to submit responses to influence RTC’s future show offerings, better serve performers and win-over audiences.
The RTC Spring Musical 2023 show selections are:
- Disney’s Descendants: The Musical. “Imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost, the teens of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar and Cruella De Vil have never ventured off the island. When they are sent to school with the kids of Disney heroes, they have a difficult choice to make: should or shouldn’t they follow in their own parents’ wicked footsteps?”
- The Addams Family. “Celebrate the wackiness in every family! Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.”
- Spamalot. “Based on the classic film comedy “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” this middle school adaptation retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table as they search for the Holy Grail and “always look on the bright side of life.”
- Write-In’s also welcome!!
RooFriends Spring 2023 AfterSchool Enrichment (ASE) Program application IS OPEN!!
- Sign-up by January 17, 2023 at 11:59 PM.
- This application period is for CAST ONLY. Auditions (early February) are open to students enrolled in RTC.
- Applications for STAGE CREW will be open in March; positions to start in April.
ASE UPDATE (January 11, 2023): Diversionary Theatre Improv and Cosplay have been added to the Spring 2023 ASE list.
