8th Grade End of School Year Activities

- Movie and Popcorn (during school)
- 8th Grade Dance at 6:00pm – 9:00pm (sponsored by RooFriends)
- “Under the Lights” on Roosevelt Campus, enter through the front gates by the office on Upas Street
- There will be a taco truck, photo booth, and DJ
- SIGN UP to donate items or volunteer at the dance
- DONATE (check the box for “8th Grade Promotion Activities“ on the donation page)

- 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony (9 am at the Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park; students are to arrive at 8 am)
Eligibility Criteria and Permission Slip for Promotion Activities
In order to participate in the activities listed above including the Promotion Ceremony, students must be on the “eligibility list” posted outside the counseling office on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Eligibility criteria is as follows:
- Parents/Guardians must sign this PERMISSION SLIP (form was sent home with your student on Monday, 5/23) and should have been turned in to the counseling office by TUESDAY, 5/31. (Speak with the front office if you have any questions).
- Grades: 2.0 Academic Grade Point Average (GPA) posted on Wednesday, June 7, 2022
- Citizenship: 2.0 GPA posted on Wednesday, June 7, 2022
- Behavior Incidents must be granted an appeal (students will be notified in advance)
- No excessive tardies: 7 are allowed
- No truancies
- No outstanding library materials
