RMS Music & La Jolla Music Society Boost Cultural Education!! 

In partnership with La Jolla Music Society (LJMS) Education & Community ProgrammingRMS Music Boosters and RMS Music Director Mr. Elias Kocivar have arranged for the school’s first on-campus musical guest performance in over two years!  This Thursday, February 24, 2022, RMS Music will welcome Xavier Foley (Bass, La Jolla Music Society “Discovery Series” Artist) to Roosevelt IB Middle School.

“Winner of a 2018 Avery Fisher Career Grant, a Paiko Foundation Fellowship, and First Prizes at Astral’s 2014 National Auditions, Sphinx’s 2014 Competition, and the 2011 International Society of Bassists Competition. Xavier Foley is known for communicating his virtuosity and passion for music on the double bass, which is rarely presented as a solo instrument.” – La Jolla Music Society

Current 2nd Semester Music Students (6th Grade Music, Band, Orchestra and Digital Music) are invited to attend this special musical presentation.  Music students’ 5th Period Teachers and Parents/Guardians must sign the permission forms, which are due this Thursday morning.  Mr. E.K. is distributing forms during music classes.  Music students, specifically Band and Digital Music, may also drop by the Music Room to pick-up their forms.  Parents/ Guardians may sign the permission form or submit the online Google Form.  Please see RMS Music Families’ email for more information.  Thank You!!
