End of School Year RMS ASB Food Drive Update
Thank You to ASB Students and Mrs. Leach for organizing an End of School Year Food Drive for the San Diego Food Bank from June 1- June 3, 2021. Roosevelt IB Students and Staff collected 376 pounds of non-perishable food donations!!

Meals will continue to be available free of charge for children 18 years and younger all summer long.
DISTRICT CURBSIDE MEAL PICK-UP LOCATIONS
The district will offer meals for drive-thru or walk-up pick up at 14 curbside locations, open Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. from June 16 to August 20. These sites will also continue to offer additional grocery items for families on a rotating basis in partnership with Feeding San Diego and the San Diego Food Bank. Check the SDUSD Food and Nutrition services website for the weekly schedule!
ADDITIONAL WALK-UP MEAL PICK-UP LOCATIONS
The district has also partnered with City of San Diego Parks and Recreation, various YMCAs and other community centers to offer meals for walk-up pick up at their locations throughout the city. These sites will be distributing meals at various times Monday through Friday from June 21 to August 20. Check the SDUSD Food and Nutrition services website for the full list of locations and service hours (times vary).
SUMMER SCHOOL
Students participating in summer school will have access to grab n’ go meal bags to take home directly from the school site where they are learning. Students who will be continuing their day on campus after the morning academic summer school with Primetime or another on-campus Level Up enrichment activity will be provided with a ready-to-eat lunch.
DETAILS
Children are not required to be present for meal pick-up. A photo of the child or a student ID may be requested for proof. Only one meal bag per child a day. Meal bags include breakfast, lunch and weekend meals. That means each child has access to 14 nutritious meals for the week if picked-up all five days, Monday – Friday.
