Thursday, during the Site Governance Team meeting, the team voted to remove the uniform requirement from our dress policy for the next school year. The team also voted to use our current Phase 2 dress guidelines as a framework for our dress policy. We will refine those guidelines and vote on the result in two weeks. There are great supporting arguments on both sides of the uniform issue; with this new direction, we have chosen to honor student voice.
This is an opportunity for us as a school to move forward with a fresh start during the 2021-22 school year. Our students have demonstrated their individuality as well as their responsibility during Phase 2, and we look forward to that continuing into next year. More details to come for next year.
