A Message from Principal Steinberger:
As Superintendent Marten shared last week, SDUSD is targeting April 12, 2021 as the date to return to school for Phase 2. Important points to keep in mind: this is contingent on San Diego County’s COVID-19 case rate moving into the less restrictive ‘Red’ Tier, and our Staff having the opportunity to get vaccinated.
Attending school in-person during Phase 2 will not be required. If you prefer to keep your child(ren) at home, that will be allowed. The exact structure of Phase 2 has not been finalized, but we are looking at a model in which we will split our Students into two cohorts. We will continue to update you with more information once it is available.
Family & Community Re-Engagement Task Force
This task force will come together to advise the development of family learning and community re-building opportunities in the final months of the 20-21 school year. Our primary focus will be around Students’ mental health and academic supports as we re-engage the RMS Community. We are considering workshop series, book club/studies and any other learning opportunities the group may develop. This group will consist of both Family & Community Members as well as Staff.
