Roosevelt IB MS is participating in the Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s Healthy Schools program to motivate RMS Students, Families, Teachers and Staff eat better and move more!!

The Healthy Schools program is an evidence-based initiative that provides guidance and resources to implement healthier policies and practices. Research shows a strong link between a young person’s practice of healthy habits, including a good diet and regular physical activity, and an improvement in their overall life outcomes.

RMS is forming a School Wellness Committee to bring together school and community representatives who can help us decide, communicate and implement healthier policies and practices.  We are looking for School Wellness Committee members to advocate and support spreading the word to RMS Families and help gain support for our school wellness efforts.

If you are interested in being part of the Roosevelt Wellness Committee or you’d like more information, please contact Ms. Karla Martinez:
