RMS Music is expanding on the unique opportunity for virtual learning by combining it with the International Baccalaureate philosophy to create our own “Travel The World” music program. RMS Music invites the RMS Community to join us on our first adventure, “Let’s Go: Mexico.”
We encourage ALL RMS Families, especially our Band, Orchestra and all 6th Grade Music Students (Quarters 1-4), to enjoy San Diego’s Center for World Music FREE online concert “Regional Mexican Music Featuring Hermanos Herrera” THIS SUNDAY, January 31 at 2:00 PM.

This 50-minute live-hosted concert will explore music from northern Mexico: son jarocho, son huasteco and accordion-based norteño music. Hermanos Herrera will discuss each genre’s history & stylistic differences, answer questions about their own instruments & music style and talk about the personal & social significance of their music.
