RMS Student (8th Grade) BandLab Original Music Composition (Audio)
RMS Musical Tree Campaign (Day 3): During this challenging time, RMS Music Director Mr. Elias Kocivar has come up with creative ways to teach music and keep his students engaged…remotely! In addition to instructing students to play music on brass, string and percussion instruments, he is guiding students in composing their very own original music with BandLab, a music creation platform NEW to RMS Music.
To support student composition and collaborative learning, Mr. Elias Kocivar applied for and was awarded (HUZZAH!!) a SDUSD Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Enhancement Program Grant to purchase Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) keyboards that facilitate smoother music production.
The Music Boosters aim to supplement the VAPA grant and make these music-making tools accessible to ALL 6th, 7th and 8th Grade music students. Your donations to our Musical Tree Campaign will go towards the purchase of additional MIDI keyboards and for headphones for students who do not have these at home.
