RMS Musical Tree Campaign (Day 2): Greetings, RMS Community! THANK YOU to so many who have already donated to the RMS Musical Tree Campaign! We appreciate your contributions. RMS Music remains active through volunteer efforts and donors’ generosity.
In November 2020, the Music Boosters coordinated access to the San Diego Symphony’s online “Young People’s Concert”…not just for RMS Music students, but for the entire RMS Community!
Featuring the music of Igor Stravinsky’s “The Firebird Suite,” this creative learning opportunity introduced students to storytelling through music. All RMS Students, Families and Staff were offered the opportunity to participate in this “virtual field trip” to the San Diego Symphony during 6th Grade Music classes, 0 Period Music Elective, Counselors’ “Fun Friday” Office Hour and at-home.
Because of our Music Boosters fundraising, music students have been able to attend San Diego Symphony performances at Copley Symphony Hall in Downtown San Diego…and more! With your donations, we hope to offer these opportunities again next year. RMS Music: Music-Learning thrives at Roosevelt IB MS! Every 6th Grader will be enrolled in a 9-week music course this school year, and the 0 Period Music Elective (Band & Orchestra) is OPEN to 6th, 7th & 8th Graders.
