Peace One Day’s objective is to institutionalize the U.N. International Day of Peace (Sep 21), making it an annual day of Global Unity and Intercultural Cooperation. Through the years, millions of people have been active on Peace Day in every country of the world, and hundreds of organizations have carried out life-saving activities in areas of conflict.
Roosevelt IB Middle School traditionally celebrates Peace Day with a school-wide choregraphed dance on campus. This Peace Day 2020, we mark the day with classes on the topic of World Peace, building the opportunity to promote the vision of Roosevelt’s International Baccalaureate program. The message of creating Peace will be integrated throughout the school day. We also invite Students and Staff to wear your vintage RMS ASB “Peace One Day” t-shirts and any PEACE inspired gear!
