The Sixth Annual Trick or Trot 5K/1 Mile Fun Run takes place in Morley Field – Balboa Park on Sunday, October 27th, 2019! Each year, this event attracts hundreds of runners of all ages from our community, many running in costumes for a good cause. Participants are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes, and prizes will be awarded for individual best costumes, small and large group best costumes, as well as fastest runners. Individuals and families alike are encouraged to participate!

There will also be entertainment from the Roosevelt IB Middle School Band, a DJ, supporter booths, pumpkin decorating, face painting, a pumpkin race, and so much more!

If you register by Oct. 6th, the cost is only $10 for children (3-17) and $15 for adults. Don’t wait–after Oct. 6th there is a price increase to $15 for children (3-17) and $20 for adults. Those 3 and under are free. This is NOT a chip-timed race.

All the fun begins at 8:00 am with bib pick up and the 5K race starting at 9:00 am and the 1 Mile Fun Run at 10:00 am.

All proceeds from the event this year will go to support the After School Enrichment Programs which are offered FREE to over 1,000 students at Roosevelt IB Middle School. These programs give students an opportunity to learn new skills not taught during the school day and include Garden, Band, GSA, No Place for Hate, Dance, Photography, Art, Theater, Mesa and Girls in Science (and many more).

Maybe running isn’t your thing, or maybe the date doesn’t work for you. No worries–you can still support the cause! Donate to become a “virtual runner.” All proceeds will be used to either sponsor runners who are economically disadvantaged, or will go directly to support after-school programs at Roosevelt.
